The college years at St. Lawrence University defined Martha MacCallum’s journalism career. A political science major provided an excellent foundation for knowing and understanding global affairs, which served to affect her work as a news anchor. She participated actively in many campus activities, including a student-run radio station, providing early exposure to media and public speaking. With academic rigor coupled with some hands-on experience in broadcasting, MacCallum has honed important skills like researching, communication, and analysis. She knows that it is those critical skills she learned during her university years that propelled her success in television journalism.
